OUR PROCESS

At Lone Star Trailer & Body, our process of building top quality trailers and truck starts with design. Our process is:

- Dedicated to excellence

- Efficiently built

- Rigorously tested

This means that your build will exceed expectations and at a price that no one can beat. Read more about it below.

Our Process: Precision, Safety, and Efficiency

At Lone Star Trailer & Body (LSTB), we prioritize mass duplication and safety to deliver high-quality, consistent truck bodies built for efficiency and reliability. Unlike traditional oil field "custom" builds that rely on stick-building methods, our modular approach ensures every build is engineered with precision and repeatability.

A Smarter Approach to Fleet Builds

For fleets managing hundreds of trucks with frequent driver turnover, consistency is critical. Our CAD Blueprint Process guarantees that each truck is identical, outfitted with the same safety features, and meets your operational requirements—every single time. With LSTB, you eliminate inconsistencies and inefficiencies, ensuring every operator steps into a familiar and standardized vehicle.

Built for Performance, Not Guesswork

Many oil field operations associate "custom" with traditional stick-building, leading to long delays and increased costs. At LSTB, we redefine customization by designing from the operator's seat outward. This means we work directly with your team to identify challenges and propose solutions, culminating in an approved CAD Render that mirrors the final product. The result? A precision-engineered truck body that feels custom but is built for mass replication.

Traditional Build Timeline vs. LSTB Efficiency

A traditional oil field truck build can take anywhere from 120 days to a year, often accumulating excessive interest payments along the way. The process typically involves:

  • 50% chassis deposit ($190,000 average)

  • 60 days to 6 months waiting for chassis arrival

  • 50% body builder deposit

  • 60 days to 6 months for stick-building

  • Final payment to body builder

  • Truck taken to an outfitter for rigging

  • Final rigging costs & delivery to the field

With LSTB, we streamline this process, cutting lead times significantly:

LSTB Buyer Process

  1. Consultation & Layout Design (1-2 weeks)

    • Meet with our team to develop a complete truck body layout.

    • Receive expert recommendations based on safety, efficiency, and operator needs.

    • Approve a CAD Render that ensures a perfect final product.

  2. Order Chassis & Body with Deposits

    • Truck chassis and body production begin simultaneously.

  3. Manufacturing & Assembly

    • While your chassis is being built, we construct the body to match its specifications.

    • Unlike traditional methods, there’s no waiting between chassis arrival and body construction.

  4. Final Installation & Rigging (2 weeks)

    • The completed body is installed on the chassis and fully rigged, ready for operation.

The LSTB Advantage

  • Delivery in 2.5 months instead of 6-12 months

  • Mass duplication capability – scale production seamlessly

  • One finished winch truck per week after the first build is completed

  • Cost savings from reduced interest payments and shorter lead times

LSTB provides the ultimate solution for fleet managers and procurement officers looking to minimize downtime, reduce capital outlay risks, and ensure consistency across their truck fleet.

With our modular, CAD-engineered approach, you get trailers &  trucks that are safe, efficient, and work-ready—faster than ever before.
